I don't understand?
When using PS_ON you should add an external 5V power supply to power Duet and PS_ON relay. -
@dragonn it works well without 5v see link in my post

You could move the Berd Air to a different fan output so that is doesn't start power up.

please advise which ports start powered at board boot, and which are not.

We recommend you use the FAN1 connector for a thermostatically-controlled hot end fan, because on the Duet 2 it defaults to being on at power up, to provide maximum safety if you restart your Duet when the hot end is hot.

@aidar Yes, but the OP is using a berd-air which is for part cooling, not hot end cooling.

Yep i know, but his config says its connected to FAN1 connector (M106 P1.....)

i swapped connectors and adjusted numbers accordingly
