The PanelDue pops up for ~5sec info messages such as wifi is connected, file x was selected for printing, leveling results are ..., and so on.

Is there a way to disable them or at least make them disappear faster? My experience is that there are more in the way than useful.

@zapta DWC - Settings - User Interface. In there you will find a panel entitled "Notifications" with numerous boxes that you can tick or untick to suit your preferences.

Thanks @deckingman. Are you sure that those settings affects the PanelDue popups?

The text there suggests that they are related to the Web UI. I disable the three checkboxes for Info, Warning and Errors and am still getting the PanelDue info popup about being connected to wifi.

@zapta Oops, sorry I missed your comment about the popups being on PanelDue and wrongly assumed it was DWC. So no, I can't be sure that altering the behaviour of DWC will have any effect on the PanelDue

I will add an option to disable info messages or shorten the timeout in the next release of PanelDueFirmware.

@dc42, Thanks. This will streamline the UI.

Another suggestion for your consideration: adding a Wifi/Networking status icon at the upper right corner of the PanelDue

hi, I'm new and just setup the duet2wifi & paneldue today. everythings looks great but i have the popups on the control screen every seconds make me hard to do the adjustments and need to come back to my PC for adjustment. Could u release a version without the messages in short? i think that's good to keep those message in console or in a separated alert tab in the future.

@t9000 There is a new firmware for the PanelDue 1.23.2 that let's you set the time out for popup messages.

To get the latest release binaries go to:
                    https://github.com/dc42/PanelDueFirmware/releases

Instructions for flashing the firmware binary via USB are at:
                    https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/paneldue/

(see section "Testing the board and updating the firmware").

Works great for me. In the PanelDue's Setting, set info timeout to 0.
