Duet3D PCB delta printer effector sneak preview

Darn it, can't believe you sold out already, I wasn't expecting orders to start late on a Sunday
-
Should be some more later today once they have tested them?

We only listed what we had tested! We have more in stock now.

sweet, just ordered!

Im Glad I jumped in with a bunch of other items into an order and asked for the effector kit to be added when it became available.
A nice little package for me to open when I get home from a long slog in the desert. Adding yet another Duet and related products to the collection is never a bad thing.
Glad to say I got the following, im converting my FT5 to CoreXY with Dual Zesty Nimbles and a Chimera so I need another duet and X2 for it to allow me to use the dual Z motors independently for bed leveling purposes, and the effector kit for my KosselXXL, which will also run a zesty nimble.
X1 Duet Ethernet
X1 Ethernet module (to convert one of my wifi versions to ethernet)
X1 IR module (DC42's)
X1 full effector kit
X1 E3D hotend kit 24v
X1 Duex2
X1 Ball stud kit -
Damn it! Waiting for the PCB effector to be available. Now it is but the DuetEthernet that I keenly need is out of stock (don't like wifi in production equipment)! When will it become in stock again? Don't like to pay twice of shiping cost and delivery time into Russia is rather long. But if it is a long time before DuetEthernet board will be available I am apt to order the rest as in the time PCB effector could become out of stock. It could be an endless loop then!
-
Anyone thinking about adding a second part cooling fan & duct to the effector.

I personally feel the "berdair" style of cooling system is the way forward on this system to help keep weight and mass to a minimum, It's a nice simple and easy to install solution.

You could Drop Roland Lock at think3dprint3d an email as they handle the sales side of the duets, and see what the state of play is. You can mark it F.A.O roland and email them on: think3dprint3d@gmail.com

@CaLviNx:
Thank you for the info! New to the 3D printer world and need to learn many things yet. -

Thank you for the info! New to the 3D printer world and need to learn many things yet.No Problem we are all in the same boat so to speak, and Roland is a great guy who will help you all he can.
That said all the guys who make up the whole team at Duet3d/think3dprint3d are what makes these products as successful as they are by providing a service that is second to none.

Totally agree

Im intrigued by one of the extra holes I have spied in the effector kit !! I wonder how much free space there is around it ?
located above the "input2" screen printed words on the right, as for me if there is a little free space around it I would use a hollow threaded nipple to locate my air cooling system !!
-
That IP2 connector had to be moved slightly in the production run as it could cause a collision with the rods and cause a rod disconnect so don't think you could really use that but maybe you could if you used a right angle nipple suitably angled?

Any idea if this will be available for purchase from a supplier in the US?

Originally in an earlier iteration I had a few of these around the edge of the board, they were there to be used to secure zipties for cable strain relief. As the design progressed more and more had to be removed to make space for other things and in the end that is the only one left!
It is quite close to the edge :Be very careful with the trace running between it and the edge of the board though

What is the diameter of the hole ?

Good idea, if the hole can be massage (away from the trace) one of the following might work!!
