Did anyone use the Touch MI probe from hotends.fr with a duet board yet?

The manual is in French only, which I have only limited command of, but it seems it requires 5 volts. What would I need to do to use it on the z probe header of a duet wifi 1.03?

For a Duet WiFi 1.03 I suggest you treat it like an NPN inductive or capacitive sensor, except that you will be running it from 5V not more.

It's possible that it may work on 3.3V, I suggest you ask the manufacturer.

I asked hotends.fr -- they say the probe also works with 3.3v and can be directly connected to the z probe header without issue. now to figure out the right M558 line ...

Sounds good. Assuming the probe output isn't noisy, I suggest you use P8 in M558. Whether you need i1 or not depends on whether the probe output is active high or low.

I measured 3.3v when the probe pin was out and 0v when the probe pin triggered. So I guess active high?

Active low, so you need i1 in your M558 command.

Its a simple ir endstop. Only need to setup the deploy going to the X min and the retract going to z0.

I got a document today detailing the setup on Duet today from hotends.fr. I will see whether I can extract the pertinent information and add it to the wiki.
