Looking to upgrade my Prusa mk2.5s to Duet 3d
-
I've had it with the mini-rambo 1.3a board that has been giving me problems over the past few months, and thought that a Duet 3d board might just be the way to go.
Since my Prusa runs on 12 volts, is this supported on the duet? I had read that the ideal is to use 24volts, but since my bed, power supply, heater cartridge, thermistors, steppers and pinda probe are 12 volts, I would rather not have to replace everything if possible.
Is it possible to do this conversion? If so, I will likely take the time to design a proper mount for it in my prusa and for other 2.5s users looking to convert, and provide a detailed step-by-step guide for those looking to switch over to a more powerful board.

The duet boards run on 12v without problems.

the voltage is not a problem.
what i am not sure about are the specific probing points on the bed. i am not sure how well that translates to the duet.
it might work with this https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Bed_levelling_using_multiple_independent_Z_motors -
Hi friend, were you able to configure your duet board for the Prusa successfully? Do you have a json file you'd be willing to share? I'm having a hell of a time finding all the configuration settings to make sure I don't brick my MK2.
Thank you,
