    How dows bed leveling compensation work?

      When bed mesh leveling compensation is on, the Z axis is dynamically adjusted to follow the bed curvature (good). Does this apply the same to all layers or is this compensation gradually diminished as more layers are added?

      In other words, if I print a tall cube, is the top layer flats or follows exactly the bed's curvature?

          You can het it to dial out after a certain height. Have a hunt in the gcode reference.

          The question would be can you be certain the axis you move your nozzle on are perfect and planar with no twist? The bed compensation corrects for both error on the bed surface compared to a perfect flat plan and deviations ov the nozzle as it is moved along the axis.

          Running 3 P3Steel with Duet 2. Duet 3 on the shelf looking for a suitable machine. One first generation Duet in a Logo/Turtle style robot!

            Thanks @deckingman, this is what I was looking for. I presume that the default is H0 which means non tapering.

            Other tapering models could come to mind such as exponential or linear that depends on the curvature (change layer height or cross-cut by at most X percent from nominal) but that's a different topic.
