As part of a tool change command I would like to actuate an I/O bit then wait for an input to be made before continuing. Is there a simple way to do this, or do I need to create a M581 in my config and call M582 in the tool change routine?

No need to feel dumb, there are too many G- and M-Codes to remember them all.
