This release is now available at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.05.1. It fixes three known bugs in 2.05. See https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/blob/dev/WHATS_NEW.md for the change list.

All three bugs were already fixed in RRF 3.01beta releases.

I went to github and don't see the zip file I would normally use to install/upgrade firmware. Was it missed by accident? The file would have been Duet2firmware-2.xx.zip

@JamesM seems to be a pattern to only create a complete archive for the major releases (i.e. 2.05 in this case https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/2.05/Duet2Firmware-2.05.zip)

So I just download the Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin and DuetWiFiServer-1.23.bin files and upload them and then do the newest duet web control zip and upload that after rebooting?

@JamesM You can upload them all at the same time even.

@JamesM i figured you had read through the whats_new file and determined you needed some of the files that were not present on the 2.05.1 page - but if you find the files you need then yeah as @Phaedrux says just download the ones you need and upload them all.

Thanks. I haven't done much with the firmware other than 1 or 2 simple updates and I'm just too scared to attempt RRF firmware...LOL

@JamesM you can't really go all that wrong, in the sense that worst case scenario is that you have to connect the micro usb cable and flash the firmware from another computer. take your time and follow the instructions on the wiki and you'll be fine.

I would have to look but I think I have 3 different versions on my 3 printers but all of them should be 2.02 and newer.

@dc42 First of all, thank you very much for your constant effort. surely my question has already been addressed before, but I wanted to know, if I have a duet 2 wifi for a corexy printer, it is worth moving on to RepRap firmware 3? I was previously on version 2.01 and upgraded to 3, bus has been a pain since. Is advised to go back to firmware 2? In this case, 2.05.1?

Currently, unless you need a specific feature of RRF3, you may want to stay on 2.05.1 for now. But if you want to be on the bleeding edge and do some testing, create a post about your issues with RRF3 and we can probably get you sorted.

Downgrading to 2.05.1 should be as simple as uploading the firmware file and then replacing your config with a backup you had of your old config.
