@dc42 , @T3P3Tony Would it be possible to get a forum category created for the DueUI, maybe under "Accessories and Add-ons"? I'd like to release version 3.0 this week and it'd be helpful to have a consistent place to go for support. If not, that's OK I guess but I'd just like to know one way or the other.

@gtj0, we already have too many forum categories IMO so I am reluctant to create another one. May I suggest that you create two threads in the third party addons section, one for announcements and another for support?

Threads like that just get unwieldy and lost. I guess I'll figure something else out.

There is a tag functionality that would allow users to associate their support posts with Due UI that way, without the need for a new forum.

Can you subscribe to tags? I bet you can.

tbh when the landing page for the foum is the recent threads and not the categories odds are first time users won't find or post to the correct category anyway? (or is it just me?)

What about a DueUI slack or discord channel?

It's not just you. The only time I ever see the categories is when I start a new thread.

I wasn't necessarily thinking of people finding it on their own but more having a place to permanently link to. The gigantic "support" posts are just hard to navigate when multiple discussions are going on and they're also hard to figure out if someone else has asked the same question.

                    Here's a good example...

I didn't want to have to send users off to another site they'd have to create an account on especially since DueUI is exclusively related to the Duet family but yeah that's what I'm thinking I'm going to have to do. I keep waiting for Microsoft to announce forums for GitHub. 🙂

How many people are using DuetUI? If it's popular then we may consider adding a category.

@dc42 I don't track usage stats, or anything else about users. All I can tell you is that there have been more than 80 downloads.

I have created a DueUI sub category in this "third part software" category.
