Board is dead

I wire up duet 2 wifi. Then I so that wifi modul does not work any more. There is possibility that I sort 12V Vfan to 5V. The board is dead i think. Am I right? When I plug to PC via USB nothing happent. Diag LED on permanently. Try to reset nothing work.
Thank you
Lukas

Diag led should not be permanent unless configuration or firmware is corrupt i think. Try removing the SD card and in general follow https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/What_to_do_if_your_Duet_won't_respond

Tried. Wifi module is getting hot so the CPU. COM does not appear.

That's a bad one. Hot CPU and wifi module are also a good indicator that it's been fried.

Thats not a good sign no.
Might be worth repairing, but hard to tell up front if its just the CPU, Wifi and likely 5v regulator or more. But you're easily looking at $20-40 in just parts, maybe more depending on the damage.
If you have some skills or skilled soldering people around, its doable, alternatively a maker/hacker space or even https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/13875/community-repairs

I have the same damage. Hot wifi module and nothing resonding. Is it possible there is a problem with the RC3 update?

Very unlikely to be a direct result of a firmware update. A firmware update could render the WiFi module out of sync with the Duet firmware but the Duet should still be reachable via USB and then update the Wifi module to be in sync again.
Maybe continue diagnosing in the other thread you made to keep it tidy here?

Unfortunately that would burn out multiple components on the Duet.

No, that is caused by a short from either +5V or +3.3V to a higher voltage, or occasionally by a failure of the 5V regulator chip U3 (small square chip not far from the VIN terminal block). Is there any sign of damage to U3?
