No Response from Duet Maestro out of the box
-
Straight out of the box my Duet Maestro has no lights on the board after plugging it in with a micro USB cable. Tried tons of different cables and multiple computers. Any suggestions?

Not a single light at all?
Have you tried connecting it to VIN yet?
Can you post some close up well lit photos of the board front and back to see if there are any damaged chips?
-
Also, where was it purchased?
-
Not a single light.
I've attached two photos.
It was bought through Duet3D's online store.

That crimp pin wasn't on the back of the board like that when you were testing it was it?
-
presumably the JST KK terminal on the rear of the PanelDue_SD connector is just a prop, and not stuck shorting something out?

I am blind as a bat. No idea how I didn't see that. I plugged it in now and the lights turn on as they should.
Could that have caused irreparable damage?

Nothing is irrepairable although most things on the board does take some effort to repair.
Its hard to say anything about the long term viability after a short, but given the supply was an USB port odds are it dealt with the surge, and if it didn't it would "just" be the 3.3v regulator to repair down the line which isn't too bad.
