Its all about training
Tried number 2 - now have large rolling pin shaped bruise on my head. Should have known better - after 42 years, she has me well trained.

3 is a good number, you'll always have one working no matter what, I have 3 if I want more they'll have to be kept at work for similar reasons.

Having developed a decent understanding of these deltas, based on the recommendation of a friend, I have a Folger Tech FT-5 on order, to see what that type of printer has to offer.

Currently I am trying to mount a Diamond three color hotend to one of the printers. If that works well then I plan to try the five color variation.

I think any arrangement is possible but what are the pros and cons.
One of the cons of moving the bed in X and Y is the overall printer size will be around twice the size of the bed in each axis.
Still nothing wrong with experimenting - it can be very enjoyable.

I went to the maker713 site but could not find detailed information on what they are offering.

The website is a bit strange http://713maker.com/ft5.html obviously not done by an IT guy, if you keep scrolling down that particular page then there is more pictures and info on the parts, prices and how to order, dont expect a kit to be available anytime soon though.

Once they get the CNC mill installed things should speed up considerably IF it is anything like the mills I am familiar with.
