polar printer?

just wondering if there is a setup for polar printer? honestly, i only need a polar kinematics for X and Y. i have no need for a Z.

Polar kinematics are supported. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwarePolarPrinter

oh nice! i didnt see that in th configurator tool so i was wondering. thank you. out of curiosity, since the Y min and Y max is essentially the same position, is it necessary to have a dedicated home position for Y axis? like if i were to print a circle that requires 2 passes, would the G code go full circle and then reverse or would it go around the second time in the same direction?

Read the section and examples on homing Y on that page.

It will do whatever the slicer tells it to, which will typically be to do 2 passe sin the same direction. When doing a travel move, it will take the shortest route.
