      hia,
My duet wifi is practically set up with just a few more crimped terminals left and the final Ac heated bed, however the fan which is a standard, 24v 30mm fan isn't running as loud as it should, when for example I put my finger against it it stops then spins back up.

All home settings are working as expected.

and my jumpers are set to
Vfan jumper select 5v and VFAN as well as standard 5v internal jumper.

When i remove the jumper from the VFan nothing works, nor does it work when the jumper is on the V_FAN VIN

      Should I set M950 F0 C"fan0" Q2500 ; create fan 0 on pin fan0 and set its frequency
      M106 P0 S0 H-1

      to M950 F0 C"fan0" Q25000 ; create fan 0 on pin fan0 and set its frequency

      please help,

I've got the duet wifi with the one car fuse on it not the two or three

@npm1 Check to see if the V_Fan Jumper Select is set to VIn.

it does matter now the board blew up with magic smoke along with a burnt bltouch etc, not too mension what may also be damaged.

          But thnks for your time

            What is the fan voltage?

If the fan was 12v and you had the fan jumper to 5v, the fan would be spinning slow because it's not getting 12v.

If the fan is 12v and you set the jumper to vin and you psu is 24v the fan now has twice as much juice flowing through it which is sure to cause damage.

To use a 12v fan with 24v vin you would need a buck converter to drop the 24v down to 12v for the fans.

Can you post a photo of your board to see what might have been damaged?

@Phaedrux I switched it all upto a previous version of my duet wifi which has no car fuse etc, the fan hasn't changed but you could tell that their was an issue with the 1st board to begin with... Everything on the older board works including the y axis. So who knows I may upgrade to the duet wifi with 3 fuses if all goes well and continue testing on this board

Is there an option to send this board back to the team for a review and fix or atleast how would I go about doing the trace pcb checks

It sounds like it's gone poof. If we could see if there is damage, and you can explain what does and does not work it might be viable for repair.

The 5v rail has gone since the WiFi doesn't switch on, the 24v power delivery doesn't work it's mostly the power delivery system, with issues on the y axis stepper driver nothing appears burnt other than the bltouch which ended with a slight spark and and is now burnt....

The fan works normally as when plugged that in to the previous release of the duet it worked as expected, I'm not going to use the burnt bltouch and have ordered a new one

Can't rate it enough how refreshing the duet wifi is, and for quality of life stuff its worth the cash, working with marlin was great but really everyone I go to the duet wifi difference is shocking, when I plugged my mp mini select 200 that printer was completely silent

Is there are sign of damage to the small square chip U3, which is close to the VFAN select jumper?
