      Hello,

I have a problem with the calibration of my IR probe ...

Since I have been on RRF3.1.1 I can no longer calibrate my probe. I follow the adjustment procedure to the letter =>

Nozzle in the center of the bed (usual temperature)
Touch the nozzle to the tray (or sheet of paper)
      G92 Z0 (Z = 0)
      Raise the 5 mm nozzle (G92 Z5)
      G30 S-1
      Read the z value
      G31 Z xxx

I get the value of 2.66. I report in my Config.g.

      G31 P500 X-19 Y6 Z2.58
      (M558 P1 C "zprobe.in + zprobe.mod" H5 F120 T6000 two independent Z)

And nothing helps, my first layer is still too overwritten, so I'm trying to correct manually in my Config.g ,. I put for example G31 P500 X-19 Y6 Z2.48 or G31 P500 X-19 Y6 Z2. 38. The result remains the same step of change always too crushed.

On the other hand, if I play with BabyStepping or if I adjust the height of my Z in my slicer… does it work? An idea ?

if you can get a good layer with babystepping adjust the offset by the amount you babystepped.

Déjà fait justement… quand j’obtiens un bon résultat avec les BabyStepping si je veux reporter et ajuster le décalage obtenu, ça ne fait rien… C’est comme si mon G31 Z xxx ne fonctionnait pas. ???

if you did not change this to z probe, did you change your homing files?
i would suggest that you make the changes in the configurator and upload the new config.

                M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin bedtemp
                M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp

your thermistor settings are incorrect, look up the correct beta value for your thermistor in its documentation

Thank you for your answers, I don't use Config Tools, I absolutely don't like it ... For my thermistors. Right now, I don't have a problem with that, I can heat up to ready degrees, I'll check it out when I fix my probe problem… Thanks again.

i was not doubting that. the thermistor has no influence on the heating part. its responsible for displaying the correct temperature.

Yes, I used the tool to create the first file to spot where the changes were compared to RRF2. But afterwards, all my changes are done live and without the tool. When I say that I don't like this tool, I should rather say that it is not for me ...

ok you can still do the changes manually.

just loo at the differences in all the files when you select a z probe in the configurator.

It can be helpful to send M98 P"config.g" to see if you have any syntax errors.

Also very helpful to compare to the output of the online configuration tool.

Honestly, I think I have to reinstall everything!

The more I change settings, the more errors I get.

And the problem is, I'm not sure what to declare in the configuration tool ... I'm not talking about the basics like the dimensions of my machine, the size of my bed, the steps of my motors. But how do I declare a double Z, (Z + U) my heating thermistors… other?

I redid and redone my files again ... And nothing helps, nothing changes, worse I'm drowning completely.

Someone with good intention to configure me (bass) my printer with the configuration tool. This would be a bass config file with the declared double Z (Z + U). I'm not asking you to do the work for me, I just want to compare files to understand and then be able to reproduce ... It's the only way for me, I know everything is detailed in procedure, but frankly as you can understand, this It's not easy to assimilate everything technically when it is not written in your mother tongue, a period, a comma, a bad translation and find yourself off topic. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely the file comparison method is working for me. it's not to just copy and paste stupidly, it's to be able to continue to understand the RRF3 logic.

the reason to go with the configurator is that it generates a config that saves you from small pitfalls.
like order dependency of the commands etc.

in your case changing of the M574 for z probe and changing the homing files no to use the endstops.

I understand that the configuration tool is there to help me (I do not disagree) and what I ask is that they explain it to me or that they give me a little help to configure it, because it is not easy for me (for lack of fluency in English) to understand everything he asks, it may seem stupid, but I assure you that it is indeed the reality ... with the translation, he gives me a bunch of words that I I have to put things back in order to try to make a solution that is necessarily not always the right one.

The proof, just a simple request for help is already a problem between us, I think the translator does not exactly reproduce my request and makes us go around in circles ... Thank you anyway.
