Board repair service

Is this something you offer? I ask because a while back I fried the power supply connector on my board. It's likely only the connector that is broken and I could replace it myself, all it would take is a bit of soldering but my soldering skill is not the greatest and I'd happily pay a small fee for peace of mind on this. Or perhaps a trade in for a discount on a new board?
Of course I understand if this is not something you offer, but would save me a lot of time and hassle with the soldering iron!

If you are in the US ( or somewhere that is relatively economic to post to) then I suggest you contact W3DRK here on the forum. We don't yet offer an official service but Dieter has done repairs for some other users.
Alternatively if the USA is not a good option and if it's just the power connector then you may have someone more local to you that can do a through hole repair quite easily.
If you do it yourself I recommend getting a good solder wick as the power connectors have a lot of solder to get out before you can remove it without damaging the traces on the board.

Unfortunately I'm UK based… Looks like I'll take the plunge and do it myself, wish me luck!

not a difficult repair. use some flux to help remove old solder but be sure to clean it all off after with alcohol as it is corrosive. If you are not familiar, try a bit on any old board till you get the heat right. don't want to burn up your board… been an EE for over 30 years so any questions feel free to ask.

I can do some types of board repair in the UK, but I have a little too much on my plate right now.
