@GPetropoulos said in My duet wifi does not connect to the wifi.:

the wifi SSID and password are in my config.g file.

That should not be. Must be an old config.

      https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M587_Add_WiFi_host_network_to_remembered_list_or_list_remembered_networks

Is the blue LED on the wifi module lit?

Can you connect via USB and send M122 and report the results?

What firmware version on the Duet and on the wifi server?

@Phaedrux I have not connected with usb since I got it. What do I do? Just plug the usb while the PSU is ON? Use pronterface to send the M122?

Take precautions to prevent USB ground loops if you are going to leave VIN connected.

          https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/USB_ground_loops

To be safe you can leave VIN disconnected/PSU unplugged and just have USB connected. Then yes you would use YAT or pronterface to connect via serial and you'd have access to terminal commands.

          As described here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/1.)+Getting+Connected+to+your+Duet/7#s6

It would also be useful to send M587 to see what SSIDs get reported.

Can you change the end of line setting so we can see the full report (with formatting).

@Phaedrux Also I checked the link for the remembered list/networks, as I still have the M587 in the config.g
I only access the printer from the web interface. I do not understand how it will work if the command to enable the wifi is not in the config.g
How can I send a macro to it if it does not connect first?

you enable the network with m552 s1 m587 is for storing the network details, this only needs to be done once.

blue light is to indicate Vin, so it will not light when using only usb

I fear that having that in the config has caused the module flash to burn out from constantly re-writing the SSID and password at every power up.

@Phaedrux Does this mean it is bricked?
Unfortunately I had not seen that you should not use the M587 in the config.g and should be something added at a later time than last year we were talking.

Is there any chance my firmware is old and this does not work due to that?
I have not updated the firmware for sometime.

I had ordered directly from duet3d.com on 09/12/18

Try without the quotes around the ip address. The example in the wiki may need to be updated.

If the access point mode doesn't work after removing the quotes from the ip address you can try reflashing the wifi server firmware by sending M997 S1
