M376 possible issue
-
Hello. Im having issues with the bed compensation. I have a 40 points mesh calibration setup.
the ma deviation is like 0.7, so following the documentation, 30 times that value is 21, I have set 30 just to be super sure.
The thing my print start to have really serious issues starting at 30 mm approx, I watch what it seams a super bad overextrusion problem, below the 30 mm the print is awesome.
I just wanted to post this to see if there has been M376 reported problems. My data:
Board: Duet 3 MB6HC (MB6HC)
DSF Version: 3.2.2
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 MB6HC 3.2.2 (2021-02-11)Thnaks in advance

@tinchus, I am not aware of any issues in this area, but I have not tested bed compensation taper recently. Can you post some photos of the print?
-
@dc42 Sure. What you see in the picture looking like stringing, it is not, it is the plastic being drag by the noozle, that height is 31mm, you can see just a bit beloz how layerst start to "grow"
-
Can you disable taper and test again to see if it's resolved?
If you send M376 by itself during the print does it report the same value as you've set?
-
@phaedrux I have just started a print with taper disabled, I will report the results
-
@tinchus, did you do that test? Have you tried doing the same print using the same bed compensation taper with firmware 3.3RC1 ?
-
@dc42 Im not using 3.3, the version I have is 3.2
-
@tinchus did you do the test with taper disabled?
-
@dc42 Yes. ANd the problem is solved, so I guess the compensation has some kinf of problem
-
@tinchus, please try 3.3RC1. That code has changed since version 3.2.
