External drives

Hi
How do I connect external stepper drives to the duet 3 6HC ? I don't see any jumper pins on the board. How many external drives can I connect directly to the board ?
The add on boards seem to have a lower step frequency.
Is there a dedicated pin to invoke a homing routine on an external drive ? and another for the reply ?Thanks

No, rather not. On boards with jumpered drives I took out the drives and connected the external drives there. On some other boards with soldered drives there are jumpers, where you can get the signals. In the schematics of the duet 3 I only found test points for these signals. -

AFAIK there are no pinouts for stepper signals on the duet3 6HC. The most elegant solution is indeed what @Phaedrux and @Dougal1957 have suggested. The Duet 3 Expansion 1XD board provides all the pins you need for connecting external stepper drives and has extra fuses for safety.
