      Hey there,

i'm quite new to Duet, RRF aswell 3D Printing. As a first printer i bought an Anycubic Predator- Within the last half year I did disassemble and rebuild the whole maschine. A bit more detailed:

      • Changing the Mainboard to Duet2Ethernet (RRF 3.2)
      • Changing to PanelDue 7i
      • Adding a Duet Smart Effector
      • repositioning the original Filamentsensor to the inner of the electronics Box
      • Changing the Extruder tio a Bndtech BMG
      • Changing the steppers to Nema17 with 65Ncm
      • Migration towards Volcano with 60W Heater and PT100 incl. Daughterboard
      • Integrating Linear Rails
      • integrating MagBallArms by Haydn Huntley
      • Changing the Z-Probe Sensor (Inside SmartEffektor
      • Changing nearby every cable towars AWG20
      • Adding the headbet with a magnetic springsteelplate with an applied original BuildTak sheet and also a BuildTak PEI Sheet
      • Added an enclosure with an additional temp control
      • a lot more small things like anti damping feet, heatbed insulation,...

I did also write almost all of the configuration and Macros instead of using those from others. Everything runs fine so far. My main goal was to get a reliable and acurate machine not more slowly than the original. At all most of them is reached. Only the speed is quite slow.

So my question for Understanding. Is there a standard procedure to evaluate versatile and reliable speedparameters? Or is it more a kind of "try and fail"?

Thanks in advance for your patience and input. If needed don't hesitate to request for additional information. At least i'm sorry about my english as i'm not a native but a german.

@gurusmi because it depends so much on the machine, and they are all different, it is mostly “try faster until it fails”! However, you will usually get poor results before failure. @Phaedrux created a set of macros and a guide to tuning speed, see https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/6181/tuning-macros-menus-accel-jerk-retraction-pressure-advance
