        In the case of the LC1 v1.1, it is anticipated that people will make use of the feature to add a switch. If a board failure is demonstrably NOT related to the small amount of work on the board to enable the switch, I think we would generally look favourably on replacement. However, if, for example, it fails due to a short through the switch you added, it would not be covered.

            @arnold_r_clark Yes you are correct the warranty policy was written before we shipped a product with an unpopulated footprint designed to allow a customer to add the component.

            I have modified the warranty policy with a specific exception and will look to get the documentation updated as soon as possible.

            In the future if we do this with any other product then I will look to expand the warranty policy to more generic wording.
