I noticed that Bondtech is planning a "LGX Lite" (94 grams).

Im still considering what to do in way of replacing my Zesty Nimble (First gen. Mine has actually worked okay up until recently).

Initially i though Bondtech LGX as flying extruder. But with this "lite" I can not help but to wonder if it could be a workable component for use on a smart effector. Or is 94g still "to heavy to be sensible"?

@janjoh 94 grams is just the motor. Assembly is more like 130 grams.

I really did read that spec. sheet arse backwards didn't I just? šŸ™‚

Well, I think i'll stick to flying extruder then.

I run a modified sherpa mini on my Delta. Not sure about the actual weight, but it'll be around 120grams.
Print speed is 100mm/s, travel is 300mm/s at 4000mm/s² acceleration.
With pressure advance and input shaper dialed in, I get the best results from all my printers with the Delta.

The sherpa mini does not allow very high flow rate, but it fits much better on a Delta than the Orbiter. The LGX lite could be best of both worlds since it doesn't have a planetary gearbox.
But same as the modified sherpa, it will need an offset to fit between the rods (8mm offset to fit between the standard size effector -rod distance)
//edit One thing I would change on the LGX lite would reduce the distance between filament path and motor. With just a small modification of the main-gear, they could turn around the drivegear. (same as was done on the sherpa vs. the original bondtech extruder)
