      I want to put my BL touch on IO_1. Can I use the in and out pins on that one connector at the same time or only one of them, meaning the in pun would be moved to IO_4?

      I'm not entirely sure if I and O pins on this connector are sharing a pin on the MCU or not.

        @mentaluproar Just wire it like Step 20 here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Ender+3+Pro+and+Duet+3+Mini+5++Guide+Part+1:+Wiring/87

        IO_1 should be fine.Don't worry about the picture saying anything about IO_4 if you see the note on that page it just an example and really has nothing to do with IO_4 (and you can't use IO_4 for a BLTouch anyway also explained in the notes for step 20)

          @mentaluproar the input and output are separate MCU pins. You can use a single port as described at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_a_Z_probe#Section_Duet_Num_3.
