  • pretty sure it's not me now.
    Got board, did all the set up hoopa- came up as a delta. ummm what? went to the Reprapconfigaration site, did all that, downloaded and changed the config.json, still wouldn't set, still says it's a delta. Went and dealt with the whole upgrade to 1.19 firmware.. was a total BS affair.. firmware came up as cartisan .. had wifi issues, fixed that,.. finally got it all running again.. now i says it's a delta again…

    what the F?

    can follow the whole nightmare on facebook as they were awesome there and a big help.. but like 6 hours later thing still isn't right.. need a simple SD card image.. I can flash the thing and start like it was brand new.

  • The config.g file on the SD card tells the Duet everything about your printer, including whether it is a Delta or Cartesian. It ships with a delta one by default as it has to come with some sort of config file, and the designers use Deltas.

    You need to produce a proper config.g file for your specific printer, either using the wiki as a guide, or the Configurator.

    It's not the config.json file that you need to upload to the Duet, it's the ZIP file containing config.g and the homing files (or you can upload those files individually). The config.json file is just for the configurator.

    ya,.. but where… I can't find anything in the file to refer to what type of printer it is....

    here's the whoooolllllle config.g file.. setting of delta rod lengths and bed dia.. but nothing I can find to make it a cart over a delta...? (did change the network info cuz, ya know, safety I guess)

  • OK, think I figured it out.. maybe.. i was opening the zip file and uploading the Json file instead of just uploading the Zip file it's self..

    thanks.. got the online Reprapconfig tool file uploaded which I'm guessing is better as I set all everything (well to my best guess at least 😉 )
