Problems with Duet 3 Mini 5+ WiFi
-
@jay_s_uk Initially it would say it was connected but I couldn't get to the server. The IP it listed was actually the subnet mask for some reason. I realized it was having a problem with my router. I then setup a guest network and ran the online Reprap setup again and it was fine on first boot. Each subsequent boot it would show as connected but the status as idle. If I put the SD card back in the any PC it couldn't read the card un less I repaired it. I tried a few different SD cards with and was given the same issues and outcome. What is odd is if I ran the Reprap config again with the exact same settings and copied the files over to the card, It would boot fine exactly once each time. I am running the latest firmware and the board version is V1.0.config.g

@phaedrux Thank you. I really appreciate your time.

@phaedrux I received the new board thank you. I'm still having issues with the WIFI. It says it's connected but I can't connect to the web control. I tried setting a static IP and that doesn't work either. I've tried troubleshooting and making changes for most of the day and I am at a loss. Should it be this hard to get the WIFI connected to my network?

Are you still trying to use a "guest" network?

Please connect via YAT USB terminal and send M122 and copy paste the results here. Make sure you change the line endings so we can see the full report.
-
@fcwilt Yes I'm still using the same network.

Well, most "guest" WiFi setups don't allow communication between one "guest" and another.

@fcwilt I can try my main network but that didn't work either.
-
@fcwilt Okay, that seemed to do it. Thank you. It worked on that network before. I have another printer on the guest network connected and it is working correctly for 2 years now.

But were you trying to connect to the printer from another "guest"?

@fcwilt I had the original board connected on the guest ssid/network and with the exception of the wifi module not working properly it connected fine. I have a second printer on the same network.
-
@fcwilt I'm not sure what happened but it looks like even though the router showed as connected on that SSID, it wasn't working. I double checked after my last reply to you and the other printer couldn't connect either. Figures it was something simple. Sorry to bug you. Thank you for everything. I really appreciate it.

Glad to be of help when I can.
A typical WiFi "guest" setup is for guests to your home who want Internet access but you don't want them to have access to your network.
It generally provides a dedicated DHCP server to handout IP addresses to the guests and it prevents one guest from seeing another.

@fcwilt I understand. The only reason I set it up that way is because it wasn't working initially. I should have tried the main network first. I am having another issue with the new Moons motors I just received. I've tried every possible combination in the wiring and keep getting an out of phase error. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
-
Have you identified the phase pairs?
-
@phaedrux Yes I have.
-
And do your pairs match what they show in the data sheet?
-
@phaedrux Yes they do.
-
And how are they connected to the Duet?
When do you get the out of phase errors?
Does that happen on every driver?
