@masterpc96 what board? What version of RRF? When and where did you purchase the board?
-
@jay_s_uk RRF 3.4 As I remember, the latest stable. Duet 3 mini 5 (with stepper motor extension for Voron 2.4) bought in filafarm.de
-
When - about 8 months ago
-
@masterpc96 more than likely the config.g on the SD card is blank. I suggest pulling it out and popping it in your pc to check. If the whole SD card is corrupt or ok, check that all the relevant lights are on when the mini is powered up
-
@jay_s_uk it's problem with chip responsible for sd card (it is called U1 as I remember) I used hot air three times and it worked but now it's going to often to fix in own way
-
@masterpc96 ok, you really shouldn't be randomly repairing your own board as I don't know whether that would invalidate the warranty or not. best wait for @Phaedrux

Can you give some more detail on what you've actually done and what you mean by that last part?
In general we discourage people attempt repairs on their own if the board is still within warranty because that will invalidate the warranty. In some cases, if the fix is minor and the user is confident in the fix, we may allow it.

@phaedrux I have service of repairing pcb, I needed 3d printer in my company, I added some flux and used hot air it fixed soldering. I used hot air only on chip U1 responsible for sd card. It was minor fix, but during printing with abs where temperature is high it happens again that this chip is being desolder

Not sure to understand: your Duet becomes so hot that it desolders U1?
-
@infiniteloop I think so but it is some unreal but the main problem is that
I received duet I was printing it happened U1 "desolder" and sd card not working
I used some hot air and it worked brilliant but yesterday during printing it stopped -

To "desolder", there must be temperatures above 200°C - where do they come from?
-
@infiniteloop Poland

– No, I mean: were do the high temperatures come from?
-
@infiniteloop ahh sorry I don't know because in duet website I normal cpu temp bed is on 100* but in chamber I have only 60* I have Voron 2.4
-

That's rather hot.
but in chamber I have only 60*
So you have the Duet mounted inside of your chamber? Do you actively cool the board?
-
@masterpc96 duet boards are typically rated for 85 degrees I believe
-
@infiniteloop no it is under printer (outside the printer). on cpu I have about 28*C I have blower on board.
-
@masterpc96 what do you have using 5v plugged into the board?

I'm sorry, just had a look at the doku which says:
Unfortunately the SAME54P20A chip used in the Duet 3 Mini 5+ does not have a functioning temperature sensor. In theory it does have an on-chip temperature sensor, but the errata document for the chip says it doesn't work. However, it has been enabled in RRF 3.3 as an experiment, and does appear to give useful readings on the samples tested.
So we cannot trust the MCU temps. Your 100°C reading can be far off.
For the arrangement of the blower, the same document states:
If active cooling is needed then a fan blowing across the back of the board along the line of the stepper drivers is recommended.
Aside from this, I wonder why U1 would "desolder". Have you an impression how hot this chip becomes during operation?
-
@infiniteloop no I don't how hot it is. But blower is connected to 12V and it works all time it blows on all board
