      Hey everyone,

I have finally managed to get my hands on some LDO steppers with encoders. It has been a long time coming as they were working some issues out. I have a question with wiring however. I currently have screened cables for my motors, which work ok, however I have never been overly happy with the crimps at the motor end. They are ok but I am worried one day they might let go. The motors came with pre terminate cables for both the motors and encoders. The motors are individual cables that are twisted without an outer sheath, and the encoders are sheathed and heat shrunk at the ends so I am not sure whether they are screened at all. As they are running next to each other, do I need to worry about having them screened at all if I was to use their twisted motor cable that came with them?

      Kind Regards,
      Sam

@samlogan87 IMHO, twisted pair only makes sense for differential signal or a single signal twisted with a GND wire.
Twisting A and B channel of an encoder could lead to false readings, right?

IDK the LDO wiring, maybe they did it right?
