What version of firmware does it have now?
Did you update on the Pi?
What version of DWC does it show it has? -

I did the update with pi but now the motors don't work very well and the fans still don't work says it all

Ok, so now when you send M122 you should see matching firmware and DCS versions of 3.4.1.
Now in DWC can you check the DWC version?

Ok great, you are all matched up.
Now I would carefully go through the commissioning guide and test pieces of hardware one at a time. Double check wiring. Get out a multimeter if need be.
