@szilveszter-zsolt follow fallback procedure number 2
        https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#fallback-procedure-2

What do you mean write a new one on the formatted SD card?

The flash the firmware you'll need to follow the link provided above.

            hi,

we have formatted the SD card, and downloaded from the Duet website the following files: Duet2_SDiap32_WiFiEth.bin, Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin, DuetWiFiServer.bin and put is on the SC card.

Unfortunately no Bossa nor Duet ports appear in device manager. We have tried on a laptop too, without connected power, to avoid USB ground loops. WIN power is not connected to the board, from the moment we had communication issues. We tried with more USB cable on all the usb ports from the laptop, and on other 2 computers.

@szilveszter-zsolt Remove the SD card from the SD card socket, and try connecting via USB and serial terminal again. I would guess that the SD card is causing a boot-loop, possibly because of a bad config.g.

              See https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Troubleshooting/Duet_wont_respond

Note that putting the firmware on the SD card does NOT flash the firmware to the board. You need to do one of the following:

              • if you can connect to DWC over WiFi: upload the firmware in DWC for automatic installation
              • if you have functioning firmware on the Duet but no network connection: have the firmware file on the SD card and send M997 via USB
              • if the firmware has been deleted from the Duet: flash the firmware to the board using Bossa

= I tray bat unfortunately is same situation

                • if you can connect to DWC over Wi-Fi: upload the firmware in DWC for automatic installation
= The Wi-Fi is not working (the LED near the Wi-Fi antenna is not lighting)

                • if you have functioning firmware on the Duet but no network connection: have the firmware file on the SD card and send M997 via USB
= The device not appear in the Device Manager at all. Not possible to send anything 😞

                • if the firmware has been deleted from the Duet: flash the firmware to the board using Bossa
= Please explain more about Bossa. Is possible to "flash the firmware to the board using Bossa" without USB connection?

                Thank you Zsolt

without the right hardware which is expensive, no

@szilveszter-zsolt What OS are you running on your PC to connect to the Duet? Windows? What version? Newer versions should detect the Duet, or the Bossa port (if firmware has been deleted) automatically. Older versions should show a port, but it may not be identified, and will need the device driver installed. MacOS and Linux should see the port without using a driver. See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Getting_connected/Getting_connected_to_your_Duet#install-drivers

Are you sure your USB cable is a data cable? Many are just charging cables, so try another one. Make sure it is fully plugged into the Duet.
