      Hello,

I'm just wanting to do some input shaping at the moment, I need to redesign my extruder/stepper mount to accommodate permanent mounting of the toolboard. I can print a temp bracket to mount fairly easily but it will not be suitable for permanent mounting. There also seems to be possibility of some issue with input shaping / pressure advance when using toolboards and I'm working on getting the Duet conversion completed without introducing potential issues.

      Anyway, from the doc at
      https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Sensors_Accelerometer

"The accelerometer is built-in to the Toolboard, so no wiring (beyond connecting the Toolboard to the Duet 3 mainboard via Can bus) is necessary."

This blurb seems to imply it is not necessary to provide VIN for just the accelerometer so I'm wondering if that is correct... can anyone clarify? I'd like to know before I begin the input shaping endeavor.

      Thanks!

@wwak84 Looking at the schematic, the 4-pin CAN connector only has the CAN signals and no power or ground, so you would need to supply power.

@wwak84 yes, it needs power too.
