3.50b1+ extruder drive display does not show total extrusion

The extruder drive display does not increment for me - the numbers shown change but remain below 1.0. Going back to 3.4.4 restored previous behaviour, where the total extrusion for the print is shown. Running standalone duet2wifi. I am running two orbiter extruders in tandem, off the e0 and e1 drivers - on previous versions the total extrusion in drive 0 and drive 1 remain perfectly in sync. I reverted to dwc 3.44 first - the changed behaviour persisted.

I've noticed similar behaviour.
In my case, the extruder position only goes between zero and a negative vale. I've seen up to -2.4 but usually it's between 0 & -1
It seems to go to positive during retraction.
I believe it's related to the segments and the collection of the new extrusion rate data.
Not sure if it's a bub or changed behaviour in that respect.
Are you using absolute (M82) or relative (M83) extruder mode?
I'm using relative M83 -
