So, I wonder if I am about to do something stoopid.

I decided that I wanted to get rid of the Robotdigg idlers as the spacing isnt quite right when using rails and PCB-adapter.

Initially I thought "Hey, I'll get some 10x5 bearings, 5mm dowels and print spacers. Easy.

Well, turns out that the pins I bought were indeed 5,00mm and not 4,96 that i expected. So, they did not clear the bearings. Bummer.

Then I thought.. since the idler has bearings, I do not really need bearings in the vertix. What happens if i just print all in ones?

Now, right now only my resin printer is in operation. So standard resin it is. I kind hope that they hold up long enough for me to FDM something more substancial, or find someone that could make these in aluminium. However, since they (should) only rest on the inner ring of the idler bearing, I think that abrasion/load should be low enough even with resin? I suppose I will need a new end-cap for the dowel, even tho it has a pretty good fit now...

Now, I suppose what I am asking is this: Is what I have done a relly-bad-idea(TM)(R) for reasons that I have missed?

@janjoh Looks good to me! I like the cast aluminium one-piece corner bracket, it looks sturdy.

@droftarts These robotdigg delta-corners are on the market for several years. I've built some very tall deltas with them. Much better than printed corners.
