      I am using the mini5+ wifi , rev 1.01. latest stable RRF.

      I am setting up my first DIY printer and I have everything wired together and I am at the stage where I am just testing the operation of each part.
      I have this wierd issue where when homing any axis, the motor will keep running after hitting the limit switch, then it will stop moving but I can hear some sort of high frequency noise indicating the motor is still receiving power. It does not stop after a few seconds and I do not feel comfortable allowing more time to to pass so I turn off the power and cannot tell if it will stop after many seconds. Can someone please explain to me what it's doing?

      My configuration is as follows:

      ; Configuration file for Duet 3 Mini 5+ (firmware version 3.3)
      ; executed by the firmware on start-up
      ;

        @meepkittydoktor

        First, test your endstops work; see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Commissioning#h-8-check-endstops

        Then check at which end of each axis each endstop is located. When you look at your printer, usually the origin (where X=0 and Y=0) is in the front left of the machine. If the endstop is close to the axis zero (eg X0 and/or Y0), it is a minimum endstop. M574 commands should have the axis with a '1' for a minimum axis, eg M574 X1 .... If the endstop is close to the axis maximum (X300 and/or Y300 in your case) it is a maximum endstop, and M574 commands should have the axis letter with a '2' for a maximum axis, eg M574 X2 .... See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Commissioning#h-9-re-configure-endstops

        Check that your motors run in the correct direction. When you look at your printer, usually the origin (where X=0 and Y=0) is in the front left of the machine. Moving the X axis positively should move the nozzle to the right, and moving the Y axis positively should move the nozzle backwards relative to the bed (ie move the nozzle back on a machine with a bed that moves in Z only and nozzle moving in X and Y, or bed moves forward if bed moves in Y and nozzle moves in X and Z). If they are not moving as expected, change the M569 command for the motor that is moving the wrong direction. See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Commissioning#h-10-check-stepper-motors

        If you have changed any of these, you may need to change the homing gcode macros homex.g, homey.g, homez.g and homeall.g. If you still have problems, post them and your updated config.g.

          @meepkittydoktor We need to see your homing file(s) for whichever axis you are having problems with (so homx.g, homey.g and possibly homeall.g). See: https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Sensors_endstops
          https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Machine_configuration/Configuration_cartesian#homing-files

            Ah ok so the problem was that I forgot to declare the second Z stepper and only mapped it, and I got turned around wiring the motors and endstops and had to reverse a few things. I also was taught that the whining noise is normal and can be stopped with "stealth chop" by putting D3 V40 after the drive declaration. I.E. M569 P0.0 S1 D3 V40
            Thank you for the help!
            Now I just have to figure out why the extruder thermistor is reading 314C and why the bed heater is faulting lmao
