      Currently designing a custom mount
I can't work out the distance required between magnet sensor and magnet on hobbed gear

      wondering if anyone knows it?

Design shown I forgot about the PCB oops

@Daz_Rich aim for approx 0.5mm, there is some variance allowed by the detection chip but its unusual to be too close. more normal to end up too far away.

@Daz_Rich I'm just curious which magnet and chip it is?
In another context I played with AS5048 and AS5600. The first came with a 6x3mm the latter with a 4x2mm magnet.
