First manual extruder move at full speed.

When I reboot my machine I have noticed that the first extruder move (manual or through paneldue) is at full speed. I have searched the forum but cant find anyting on it. It might just be this firmware as only recently noticed it.
Firmware v 3.4.1
anyone else had this?

Can you update to 3.4.6 and see if you experience the same thing?

yes faster than the selected rate for the first manual move through the paneldue or DWC.
normally i do a manual prime if I need to check things but if it goes flat out it strips the filament.
I will try a firmware update but I had downgraded as I was trying to diagnose some other issues.

Under certain conditions an extrusion-only move was executed at maximum speed instead of the requested speed -
