Set velocity is not reached
-
Hello everybody,
after finishing my VZBot I have done some Testprints.
The problem is that the set speeds are not reached during printing.
The speeds are reached in rapid moves.
I have set the acceleration and speeds high enough. 20kmm/s2 Acc.
It looks like when printing, it slowly moves to the speed that is set.
In rapid moves, it reaches the speed immediately.I don’t know what to do or set.
Is that a Problem with Input Shaper or PA?
Any ideas ?
Regards Lars

@gringo, have a look at the slicer settings and possibly the gcode. PrusaSlicer has a nice feature where you can visually see a lot of parameters on your model. I use speed and volumetric flow rate for almost every print before it is sent to the printer in order to verify that I have set things up right. I look at fan speed on occasion - that was really helpful yesterday when one particular layer called for 100% fan speed which caused heater faults.
There are other gcode visualizers out there but I am happy with PrusaSlicer so never looked at others. -
When I disable PA the speeds are achieved.

@gringo said in Set velocity is not reached:
When I disable PA the speeds are achieved.
The usual culprit in that situation is that extruder jerk is set too low. There is an interaction between extruder jerk and PA. You can set extruder jerk to a "silly high" number and it won't have any adverse effect.

Ok, I will try it. Thanks
