Duet 6hc Panel Wiring Material
-
Hi All,
I'm about to start building a frame for all my electrical, electronics, and wiring.
What material are people using for the panel to put all this on?
I've seen things like Mark Rehorst's UMMD @mrehorstdmd where he's used a cream coloured panel (is this some form of Bakelite or polycarbonate)?
I'd appreciate your feed back.

@Dizzwold I used a 7mm thick PVC foam board- I don't recall the product name. It isn't very rigid so I braced it with square aluminum tubing so it wouldn't sag too much.

I've built two printers with two different solutions. The one in my garage has all the electronics mounted on a piece of 5mm plywood, and the one in the makerspace uses 1/4" acrylic. Both of these were cut using the laser at the makerspace. It leaves nice, clean holes, and the laser allows a complicated shape, if this is needed. People will probably complain that neither material meets safety regulations for fire suppression, so that's something to think about.
