      buon giorno. sto riscontrando dei problemi con il mio nuovo smart effector che ho installato e configurato seguendo scrupolosamente le guide di riferimento ma ho sostanzialmente 2 problemi che vado ad elencare :
      il primo è che la ventola del raffreddamento stampa pure essendo collegata e configurata correttamente rimane perennemente accesa.
      il secondo è che il probe non funziona il led di test verde, non si accende. ho provato il test con il G31 e la risposta sembra corretta ma quando vado a testare il G30 non funziona.
      tutto il resto funziona correttamente e prima di rivolgervi a voi ho chiesto a 3 amici che di smart effector ne hanno usati parecchi di verificare il mio operato che è risultato corretto. contattato il rivenditore ufficiale mi ha consigliato di esporre il mio problema qui su questo forum nel caso qualcuno mi potesse aiutare a risolvere questo problema. so che è molto improbabile ma dopo 4 giorni di test ed aver latto su questo forum di problemi simili, mi viene da pensare che il problema sia da attribuire allo smart effector difettoso.

        @mickeey

        good morning. I am having problems with my new smart effector that I installed and configured scrupulously following the reference guides but I basically have 2 problems that I am going to list:

        • the first is that the print cooling fan even though it is connected and configured correctly remains permanently on.
        • the second is that the probe does not work the green test LED does not light up. I tried the test with the G31 and the answer seems correct but when I go to test the G30 it does not work.

        everything else works correctly and before contacting you I asked 3 friends who have used several smart effectors to verify my work which was correct. I contacted the official dealer who advised me to expose my problem here on this forum in case someone could help me solve this problem. I know it is very unlikely but after 4 days of testing and having spoken on this forum of similar problems, I am led to think that the problem is attributable to the faulty smart effector.

        Please post your config.g and the response to M122. Please also post pictures of your wiring.

                  @mickeey I think you have wired the 4 wires from Duet 2 WiFi Z Probe pins to the Smart Effector incorrectly.

                  3d6a0c08-6869-4159-824f-a87605771c96-image.png 418c51bb-f437-42fa-bee4-aa2b329c96c4-image.png

                  On the Smart Effector, you have Black - 3.3V, Green - Z PROBE MOD, Blue - GND, Red - Z PROBE OUTPUT

                  751937c2-ec79-47ce-b07e-30523f0c7cb3-image.png c628d2b5-5a51-49da-a936-9441278bb847-image.png

                  On the Duet, you have Red - 3.3V, Blue - Z PROBE MOD, Green - GND, Black - Z PROBE IN.

                  It should be easy to de-pin one end and put them back in the correct order.

                  Also, your configuration is wrong. You have:

                  M558 K0 P5 C"zprobe.in" H5 F120 T6000

                  It should be

                  M558 K0 P8 C"zprobe.in+zprobe.mod" R0.4 H5 F1200 T6000

                          @droftarts il mio schema pin è diverso dal tuo, ed anche il comando M558 che condividi l'ho già provato ma quando facco il il G30 la stampante sale invece di scendere. quello che ho messo mi è stato restituito dal configuratore rrf

                              @droftarts hai ragione tu ho invertito i fili e la luce si accende. ora farò i test con G31 e poi con G30.
                              poi ho ancora il problema della ventola raffreddamento stampa che rimane sempre accesa
                              grazie del prezioso aiuto mi aggiornerò sui risultati

                                @mickeey

                                my pin scheme is different from yours, and I have already tried the M558 command that you share, but when I do the G30 the printer goes up instead of down. what I put in was returned to me by the rrf configurator

                                I noticed there was an error in the RRF configuration tool, it has been fixed so it gives the option of 'zprobe.mod' as the modulation pin for smart effector for Duet 2 WiFi.

                                in fact I noticed that there are two different wifi duet schemes on the network. I checked on the duet site and indeed it is the same as yours. now I will try to change the order of the wires and I will write the result here. for now thanks for the precious help

                                You should be using this wiring diagram: https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_2_family/Duet_2_WiFi_Ethernet_Hardware_Overview#wiring-diagram
                                The only other Duet 2 WiFi wiring diagram is for prototype boards (which have a white PCB), which you don't have. It says this very clearly on that wiring diagram. We deliberately made that wiring diagram difficult to find! Yes, the probe header is wired the other way around on that one, but it was changed in 2016!

                                @droftarts you are right, I reversed the wires and the light turns on. now I will do the tests with G31 and then with G30.
                                then I still have the problem of the print cooling fan that always remains on
                                thanks for the precious help I will update on the results

                                Good, that is progress.

                                Please can you show how you have wired the cooling fan, on the Duet and on the SmartEffector. In your config.g, you have configured it to be connected to the fan0 on the Duet:

                                ; Fans
                                M950 F0 C"fan0" ; create fan #0
                                M106 P0 S0 L0 X1 B0.1 ; configure fan #0

                                Make sure the wires are plugged into fan0 on the Duet, which is the middle one of the five fan outputs:

                                60736185-0627-4b97-b2a9-76630b30070d-image.png

                                fan0 on the Duet should be wired to the PF+ and PF- pins on the 2 x 3 pin black Molex Microfit 3 connector on the top of the SmartEffector. The fan should be plugged in on the bottom of the SmartEffector, to the print cooling fan header.

                                Make sure that the wires are correctly orientated for V+ and GND in each connector. Reversing the fan may cause the MOSFET that controls it to fail.

                                      @droftarts said in smart effector:

                                      Ho notato che c'era un errore nello strumento di configurazione RRF, è stato risolto in modo da dare l'opzione di 'zprobe.mod' come pin di modulazione per l'effettore intelligente per Duet 2 WiFi.

                                      devo ricaricare il mio firmware sul configuratore e modificare il parametro "porta di modulazione" da nessuno a "zprobe.mod"?

                                        You can, but unless you are going to output the set of configuration files again, you don't need to. Make sure to backup the configuration files from the Duet SD card occasionally, especially as you tune the speeds and accelerations.
