      Hi guys,
      I built an Hypercube Evolution controlled by a Duet Wifi, it includes:

      • 24V Power Supply
      • Duet Wifi + PanelDue 5"
      • Titan Extruder + E3D V6 Hotend (Bowden)
      • 5 x Nema 17HS4401S stepper
      • Raspberry Pi 3 + Camera
      • 24V 5050 Led

      Almost everything is working... but not the quality of the extrusion:

      As you can see, there are some blob on the retraction point, tt seems that the retraction is too slow and produce these blob at the beginning and at the end of the loop.

      I'm using Simplify3D and I use 5mm of retraction at 50mm/s. Coasting, Extra restart distance, Pressure Advance don't produce any change of the quality, the problems remains.

      How can I optimize my configuration?

        There will always be some sort of layer seam. How you deal with it will vary for each model. Sometimes it can be hidden inside sharp corners but on rounded smooth models it can be best to force it to the back side of the model or to align it somewhere. That keeps most of the surface completly fine and leaves a single vertical seam hopefully somewhere that doesn't matter.

        Then to reduce the actual size of the seam will be a bit trickier. Simplify 3d has coasting and all sorts of other things which honestly seem to make it worse. Coasting will also interfere with pressure advance which is a better solution anyway.

        How long is your Bowden tube? You may need quite a bit of pressure advance.

          Your extruder speeds are a little slow. You could probably get some improvement by letting it retract faster. I'd double all your current values for extruder jerk, acceleration, max speed and retraction speed and try again. Leave unretraction speed slower.

          Also make sure your z speeds are fast enough that it isn't pausing on layer change.
