Second extruder will not work again

  • I am at a loss here, I have both tools set up, temp is good, and second tool is selected but the second extruder will not extrude. It motor clicks and is powered but will not turn. Extruder 1 works fine and if I swap the connectors on the board then the second extruder will turn but extruder 1 will not.

I have had them both running in the past but switched my extruder out temporally for a different one while I printed a new mount. I have been in the config file so not sure if I did something in there to mess them up any help would be appreciated.

  • @cdl1701yahoo-com said in Second extruder will not work again:

    M92 X80 Y80 Z1600 E848.2:E848.2 ; Set steps per mm

I don't know if this is the cause, but it looks like there is in error in this line,
shouldn't that read (without the second "E")
    M92 X80 Y80 Z1600 E848.2:848.2 ; Set steps per mm

  • @scachi Nice catch!

  • @scachi Ha! That was it! I looked at that line a dozen times and never noticed that. Good catch. Sometimes you just need another pair of eyes.
    Thanks so much.👍
