Need to reconfigure Duet wifi to suit new BT Router
-
See the Getting Started guide on the wiki for how to connect a terminal emulator via USB and use the M587 command to enter the SSID and password for your new router. You can use the M588 command to delete the old network details.

Thanks David

@trev133 Not sure if this helps but if you go into the BT Hub manager, then "My Network", and locate your printer. Click on it and you'll get the device name and a load of other stuff. About 2/3rd of the way down is a little box "Always use this IP address". Click that and it'll be one less thing to worry about.

@deckingman Ian do I need to do that in the old router before I swap it out or should I be able to see that info when I connect the new router? Trevor

@trev133 Actually and on reflection, this has just triggered a thought. I need to check something on the hub first. So ignore what I said and go ahead with changing the hub. I'll get back.........

what about just taking the sd card out. changing the config.g and putting it back in?

You can do that if you need to change config.g. Restart the Duet after you have reinserted the SD card, or send M999 from PanelDue or USB.

Hi guys, not totally sure what you mean. Are you suggesting I remove the SD Card, make the changes on the sd card, then replace it?
I have only ever looked at config. g from the settings area after loading cnc/duet. Don’t see a line of code that reflects log in. Is there a line on the SD Card for the log in? -
add the M587 command to the config g
M587 S"test" P"test" ; Configure access point. You can delete this line once connected

Good job. Got it working, thanks for all your help.
