    • RE: Pressure advance grinding/skipping steps

      @Notepad Same with 3.5.4, so if its a firmware problem it wouldnt be new.

      I got curious though and tested klipper. Install and config was surprisingly easy and so far it seems to work. Different implementations i guess.

    • RE: Pressure advance grinding/skipping steps

      Im printing at 80mm/s.
      Print quality is good. Not a huge difference, but i havent tuned it of course.
      Retraction isnt the problem, turning it off doesnt change anything.

      If my only option is to slow down the print i guess ill just print without pa for now and live with some bulging corners.

    • Pressure advance grinding/skipping steps

      Hi.
      I have an older printer i just "reactivated", corexy, duet 2 wifi (3.6 rc2), bowden with titan and e3d v6.
      Without pa it works great (3000 e accel, 4.25mm retraction @ 50mm/s), but with pa its makes a horrible grinding noise, doesnt sound healthy.

      Ive tested all sorts of jerk/accel combinations. The only way to get rid of the noise is very low, basically unusable jerk (120), with accel seemingly making no difference at all. Lower pa value makes it quieter, but even at 0.005 its noticeable.

      Is this a hardware problem (extruder not strong/fast enough) or am i missing something?

    • RE: Ceramic hotend...?

      The ceramic ring is the heater, so i guess the time to reach the temp is at least the same or maybe even shorter.
      Way less mass to heat.

      @dc42
      After a lot of trying i finally had the idea to flash it with my tablet and its working again.
      I dont know whats the problem with my pc.
      Tested different cables, usb-ports and versions of bossa.

    • RE: Panel Due stopped working

      Hi.
      My Panel Due stopped working after an update.

      Updated using bossa (writing and verifying were successful) and now the screen is black.
      I have to connect it multiple times to get it recognised, and i still can write and verify, but no matter which firmware i try, it doesnt work.

    • RE: Bed temperature lower than what thermistor reports

      @wilriker
      Why using a plate between heatbed and print surface at all?

      Im using 5mm plywood with a pcb heatbed on top and either 3mm pei-coated aluminium or 4mm glass. Takes around 12 minutes to heat up (110°C). Difference between the thermistor and the surface is 5-10°C.

      10-15 minutes is pretty long.

      G4 S600 after heating should work.

      Hi.
      Do you heat the bed and the hotend at the same time?

      Im heating the bed first (with M109, although its deprecated), then the hotend.
      That gives the heatbed surface enough time to heat up properly.

    • Using always on fan connector for capacitive PNP probe

      Hi.
      Is it save to use one of the always on fan connectors as power source for a capacitive probe (lj12a3-4-z/by)?
