    • RE: Need help moving one Z-axis motor extruder driver

      I read the guide, but I'm not sure if that is also the way to direct the Duet to use the E1 controller for the second Z-axis not just for the leveling feature.
      I just got back to the machine after about a year of letting it sit due to time constraints (new baby and college). Now I want to get it running again with the change.

    • Need help moving one Z-axis motor extruder driver

      I know it should be simple, and has been done, but I can't seem to find the info on how to define where the Z motors are controlled from. I would like to set up my BigBox so I can do the leveling and correction feature. I put one of the Z steppers on E1 as E0 is my extruder (I have a dual, but only use the one side until I do the IDEX upgrade). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      @T3P3Tony:

      I have updated the Wiki to include a note on the folder naming, eca77 sorry you spent so much time on this!
      https://duet3d.com/wiki/SD_card_folder_structure

      Also added a note about browsers to here:
      https://duet3d.com/wiki/Prerequisites_for_using_the_Duet_WiFi

      And this as a trouble shooting page:
      https://duet3d.com/wiki/File_uploads_or_other_DWC_features_not_working

      When any more information or workarounds for other browsers becomes available we can update the troubleshooting page.

      No problem, it was mostly me being so new to all this and assuming things, something that gets me in trouble quite a bit when I think about it… 😉
      But actually glad that something came about from this and hopefully will help others.

      I am glad you sorted it. For reference, you can find the required SD card folder structure here https://duet3d.com/wiki/SD_card_folder_structure.

      yeah, I saw that, but figured that if the original files had the added tags that it would be allowed so I didn't think anything about it.

      okay, found out what the problem was. The folder was named "gcodes-ormerod", apparently that is wrong and it must be just gcodes…. would love a slap forehead emoji right now...

      But I just tried Firefox, I can now edit the config files with that and it saves them. Still can't see the gcodes file….

      @dc42:

      Our posts crossed. It sounds to me that your SD card is working OK now but you can't edit or upload files over WiFi. Is that what you are now finding? Does the System File Editor list the files in /sys, and does the GCode Files page list the files in /gcodes?

      That is correct.
      The system file editor now lists the /sys files, but the Gcode files are not listed in the /gcode
