    • Simplify3d upload to duet3/sbc directly

      If your on *NIX or mac it's easy to do using the duetwebapi python interface.

      https://pypi.org/project/duetwebapi/

      install via

      pip install duetwebapi

      create a file script to execute (up.py for me)

      #!/usr/bin/env python3
      from duetwebapi import DuetWebAPI as DWA
      import sys

      ###################################
      # Create API link
      ###################################
      hevort = DWA('http://hevort.local')

      ###################################
      # REST API methods
      ###################################
      #hevort.send_code('M115')
      hevort.upload_file(sys.argv[1])

      next tell s3d to use your pretty new python script by adding this to the
      Additional terminal commands on the scripts tab.

      /usr/local/bin/python3 /ssd/scripts/up.py "[output_filepath]"

      Now just slice and save in s3d and it's in DWC. You can use the send_code I commented out to send and code so you can in fact start it also, I just opted not to at this point...

      So I'm confused M303 is not implemented but in the changelog it says it is.

      [Duet 3 expansion/tool boards] Heater tuning is now implemented (M303) along with heater feedforward

      When I try it I get:
      Error: M303: remote heater auto tune not implemented

      So I'm a thinking the changelog is ahead of the code?

      Let me know if I missed something please.

    • RE: SD Card issue

      I recently had a similar problem and to fix it I had to go and manually format the card FAT NOT FAT32. Once I did that it started working again. It was working fine then just stopped one morning and did not work again until reformatted FAT. I was on the 3.0 release branch at the time.

      @bearer
      So i went back and said f@#$ it and reformatted one of the cards I had manually forcing it to FAT16. Boom everything started working !

      No idea how this went from working to not working while sitting turned off overnight. But now it seems to be all good I just updated everything and it's all looking good to go. Going to install it back in printer now and see what happens.

      I looked at all those solder connections under my big magnifier and they all looked good!

    • Duet WiFi not reading SD card

      I was setting up a new printer it was all working turned it off went to bed. When I returned and started it up the next morning the wifi never started. Traced it back to the card not mounting. I have a number of sd cards including the one that came with the board. All are doing the same thing, I can read them fine on a computer but the duet will not recognize the card.

      All the sd cards I have are formatted with the SD Card formatting utility recommended on the website. I have reloaded the firmware from a complete erase with no issues, yet still no SD card.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks!
