    • Duet 0.6 and BLTouch

I've been out of 3d printing for about 2/3 years (or when Piezo was starting out or new). I have recently bought a Ender 3 and I'm keen to put my Duet 0.6 i had for my old Delta in/on it once I have got the basics of marlin back in my head and set up so I know it's printing fine before changing boards.

I bought a BLTouch and have set that up with the current Ender 3 board, but I am unable to find if it is possible to connect it to the 0.6 board (Not the 4.7K version).

      The 3 questions I have;
1, is it possible to connect the BLTocuh to a Duet 0.6 board?
2, If not which is the cheapest board I can get which will connect?
      3. I still have my Piezo20 board from x amount of years ago, am I able to connect that to an Ender 3.

Thanks all, good to be back 🙂

For some reason it's wonkie on my print. No idea why that is but lines look straight.

    • RE: Delta part size is off.

I have spent half the day going over everything.

      • Measured the towers at the bottom and the top and corrected them.

      • Measured the top frame on all 3 towers and corrected it so they were all the same.

      • Made sure that the Carriages are the same width as the effector.

      • Printed out 4x 8mm spacers for the bed so I knew it was flat on the frame

      • Tightened all of the bolts. 99% were ok.

      • I also lowered the radius of the auto call.

All of that has risen it to about 19.76mm
apart from buying metal corner off Aliexpress, what else can I do? I've put my Config.g just in case there is something in there that I have missed but I'm pretty sure I've gone through it all.

    • Delta part size is off.

So I have a generic China Delta printer. (pictured at bottom) With a Duet 0.6, Piezo Z-probe, and aftermarket metal rods.

what seems to be happening is that the side facing my Z town will be near on perfect at 19.99 or dead on 20 cm for a test cube but the other side will be 19.45 or 19.6, anything but the same. (picture included for example)

      Relevant code is

      [[language]]
      Config-override.g:
      M665 L226.328 R104.218 H271.924 B93.0 X0.346 Y1.042 Z0.000
      M666 X-0.009 Y1.245 Z-1.236 A0.32 B-0.76

      Config.g:
      M556 S79 Y-0.25 X1.5 Z0.5

I have made fairly sure the rods are the same length with no play in them what so ever. I've done a M556 test peace and I'm not sure with one is if my printer was switching X and Y or if S3D with Flip Y plan enabled so I have swapped X and Y around and printed in both circumstances with the same results. it's always one perfect and one not. I was thinking it could do with a stepper driver being slightly different but I thought I would as first as I have no clue how to fix that.

Other options are to get metal corners and kind of rebuild the delta again to make sure everything is level and perfect.

All help appreciated as it's bloody annoying and my tolerances are difficult to work out.

    • Power cut protection

Plain and simple, if you lose power it will remember it's place, home itself and then go back to printing. Just an idea as other printers have it, don't know how easy it is to replicate.

They look good awesome. The problem is I can't find any kits that have everything. I can't #d print the Effector or the carriage as it wont come out on my printer anywhere near the measurements it's supposed to.

    • RE: Different and werid bed leverling with IR sensor

      Hello,

Right so. I have taken off and put on the rods to make sure they are moving freely and also there is not play in the bearings at each end. I have given them a small amount of oil and seem to be moving a little smoother and I put the current up to 1500 from 1000 to make sure it wasn't that.

So I feel that I might need to get better rods as I feel the ones that came with the printer as a bit shi*t

I found rods on eBay ([Here](http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-Printer-Diagonal-Push-Rod-Arm-Rod-End-Bearing-for-Rostock-Delta-Kossel-Mini-/161745332474?hash=item25a8c5e8fa:g:jEYAAOSwPcVVjPsz)) but I'm pretty sure someone else would have a better place to get them.

    • Different and werid bed leverling with IR sensor

      Hello,

I've recently bought a Duet 0.6 and am mostly loving it so far, apart from the software issues I've been have.

One of the main issues that I still haven't solved yet is bed leveling with a IR sensor for example, at X0 Y0 Z0 sending G30 S-1 comes back with -0.040mm Move is 100 to the left and then back to XYZ 0 and it comes back with +0.030mm. As for my bed levering it's just shocking (picture included) and that seems to come back differently every time I do it. I have never had a totally green bed plane.

I'm running a Delta printer kossel K800 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32480742298.html?trace=msiteDetail2pcDetail) with a duet 0.6 with a black heated bed with glass on top. I found a small chip in that glass but I have flipped it around and made sure it's not directly under the sensor.

I don't really know what to do to be honest. Take the glass off, buy a mirrored plate or even if it's hardware at all, It might be software (have included my config.g) like I don't know if I'm supposed to have M665 and M666 set to different values as I think tilt can affect it? ( i swear I have read that, might be making it up)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't really know what to do

      Thanks,

      Gilly
