    • Question about Stepper Power

      A question about Duet 3

As you can see here, I have 2 drivers (2 stepper motors) on the Y axis.
With the command M906 I define the current for Y in this case 2Amps
Is this correct or must it be 4A (2 x 2A)?

      M584 X0.0 Y0.1:0.2 Z0.3:0.4 E0.5 ; set drive mapping
M906 X2000 Y2000 Z2000 E800 I30 ; set motor currents (mA) and motor idle factor in per cent

SBC->5V and 5V -> SBC both are now connected

For me it runs perfectly now, but only with the power supply from the Pi and both jumper set
      SBC->5V

But it probably has to do with the power supply. I would make some more attempts in this direction. I use a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB

ter may be introducing noise into the Duet/SBC connection. Obvious things are to check how the various cables are routed. How long is the cable between the rPi and the Duet? Perhaps some photos of how you have things set up?

      SOLVED:
The Heater is not the problem
I plugged everything back in on the PI, keyboard, mouse,
HDMI, USB touchscreen and connected the PI to the LAN.
Also reinstalled Anydesk as a remote terminal.
I accessed everything via http://duet3.local/ and locally via the screen on the PI again.

      AND NOW THE SOLUTION:
The separtate power supply is the problem. You can power the SBC directly and power the Duet separately.
there are jumpers for that on the board.
And that was the problem with two separate power supplies.
I now have a 4A power supply directly on the PI and through that I also feed the 5V in the Duet.
-> and that was the solution

2h printing without any error message

I have now done another test:
Raspberry PI without LAN and without WLAN (offline).
I got the Lost connection message 2 times in about 2 hours - but without aborting the print ...
      still funny the whole thing

Even after some more tests and an update to the latest versions, the problem is still there and unsolved.

So I would be glad for more ideas

I have come a little closer to solving the problem:
Keyboard, mouse, HDMI, USB touchscreen cable all unplugged from the Raspberry Pi 4.
Raspberry Pi 4 has its own power supply
Remote access to the Pi via AnyDesk
Don't click anything in the web GUI while printing

-> Lost connection problem is gone

I have exactly the same problem and have tried everything with SD card, new image etc.

Does anyone else have any ideas what this could be?
