    • FOR SALE: Duet 0.8.5, Titan Extruder, BLTouch, and Capricorn PTFE

      Hi All -

I recently upgraded to the Duet WiFi and thought someone may be interested in the parts I upgraded or didn't need anymore. All items were working when removed with the exception of the BLTouch which I never got around to installing, but it powers up.

      Included in the package is:

      Duet 0.8.5
A little over 1M of Capricorn PTFE Tubing
Titan Extruder with the printed bracket and a 0.9 degree stepper motor
      BLTouch

Looking for $125. I am located in the US.

    • RE: Smart Effector and Gen1 0.8.5 board

I recently upgraded to the Duet WiFi so I could use all the features of my Smart Effector (namely the height map). Is it alright if I post a for sale thread offering my 0.8.5 and the other parts I upgraded as a package?

    • Mixing voltages on the smart effector

I have a 24V system. However, I installed a small 1A 12V power supply for my hotend fan which used a 40mm Noctua. I installed the stock 30mm E3D fan and would eventually like to go back to the much quieter Noctua. I assume that the effector is powering the LED's from the hotend fan supply since that would be the only voltage that is constantly present.

My question is that I was wondering if it is possible to use 12V to supply just the hotend fan while leaving the heater and part fans at 24V? Would I need to install the jumper for 12V supply if I did, and would it harm anything if I have mixed voltages like that?

    • RE: Z probe at 1000 on 0.8.5 and bed leveling issue.

Thank you for the response. I will delete the deploy and retract files. Perhaps it is time to upgrade my 0.8.5.

    • Z probe at 1000 on 0.8.5 and bed leveling issue.

My problem is two-fold so I apologize if this isn't the correct forum.

First, I ordered and installed the new smart effector and my probe was reading 1000 all the time on my 0.8.5 board. I shorted the pins to ground at the 8 pin connector end and then directly on the board and there was no change. I changed the M558 from a P5 to a P1 as suggested by another user and it seemed to work.

Secondly, I upgraded to the 1.19 firmware and the bed leveling routine is doing something crazy. It seems like it is doing the same routine over and over again. I tried v 1.20 beta and it has the same problem. I was going to go back to 1.18 but I couldn't find it in the archived versions, so I installed 1.17e and the bed leveling routine works as expected.

Is anyone else with a 0.8.5 experiencing this problem with their bed leveling routine, and have they been able to get it working as a P5 type probe?
