Calibration cube printed fine but working without a z-probe for now as I don't know what happened to the Bl-touch and don't want to take any chances if it has a short.
Back to printing. thank you again.

Received the part this afternoon and just now soldered it, had to use the heat gun to remove the burned regulator, and tested it with a windows laptop with only USB powering the board, I heard the familiar tone that windows make when you connect a device and saw the wifi and the 3.3V led turned on, also checked the browser and it connected and showed the web GUI fine.
Now I am connecting everything back together to print an XYZ calibration cube before I celebrate. thank you, Tony and dc42 for all your help.
@dc42 According to this
https://github.com/T3P3/Duet/blob/master/Duet2/Duet2v1.04/DuetWifi_Schematic_v1.04.pdf
its : AP7361c-33E-13

is that correct?
Update: Found and ordered TC2117-3.3VDBTR
from mouser.com
@t3p3tony Excellent, I used the multimeter to measure Vin to GND and it read 4.69V while the board was powered only by USB and measured Vout to GND and it had a very small fluctuating value like 4 to 1 mv so i will order a new TC2117 hopefully will find a supplier who doesn't require a minimum order of a 1000 units. fingers crossed that this is the only damaged part. will report back.
Thank you so much for your help I can only imaging how busy you are.
@t3p3tony I have no clue what i am looking for but have to ask : is it this ? :
@t3p3tony I have few buck converters i can use one of them to dial down DC power to 3.3V with the help of a multimeter but where would i connect that on the board afterword? looking at the wiring diagram i can se an optional EXT 5V next to the Power in but cant locate an 3.3V in.
For the 3.3v regulator if i know the the location of the component i may be able to replace it , i have a decent soldering iron with fine tips and a heat gun.
@ms232 maybe a ground loop killed the USB port on the board as explained here https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/USB_ground_loops
My question now is if it's only the USB port that is damaged or more components and if it's viable to repair?
Found a post with a fairly similar issue https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/5864/usb-connection-failed
I am just wondering now if the problem can be reproduced by plugging in a (PC connected) micro USB while the board is on and powered from a power supply?
@t3p3tony 2 red LEDs one between the USB and the reset button and the other is 5V+
@t3p3tony
I did that, unplugged everything including the LCD but still nothing being recognized through USB
Board: Duet Wifi Duet2 V1.04 was running firmware 2.02 RC 3
Bl-touch connected Using this Guide https://betrue3d.dk/bltouch-on-duet-wifi-configuratio-and-usage/
What happened exactly :
Yesterday after a print job is finished i had the usual message on the duet console (I used the duet 7" panel ) about not being able to connect to wifi and usually I do a power off and on until it connects, but yesterday I thought that sense the printer is close to the desktop computer that I use, why not just use a micro usb cable to just save the g-code files to the sd Card of the Duet. so i got a USB cable and connected it to the duet wifi (it was on) immediately i heard the always on fan stop and start which is how i know the board restarted. in just a few seconds i smelled something burn and the Bl-touch got extremely hot , So i reached to the duet panel to check the console but it was frozen, turned the power off and on, screen still frozen. So I disconnected the Bl-touch and reached for a paper clip and clicked the Erase on the Duet LCD Panel. for some reason I thought its factory reset like function. and after that restarted (maybe too soon i don't think i waited few seconds) now the duet panel is blank white and the board has only 2 red LEDs one between the usb and the reset and the other is GV+, so i disconnected everything (steppers, limit, hot end etc) and went back to the wiki and tried all the scenarios to re-flash the firmware but the board is never detected through usb tried 3 different cables and different porte of a laptop and an iMac but nothing will come up for:
On the mac : ls /dev/tty.* - board not showing)
SAM-BA version 2.17 : - nothing shows in the connection field
On windows nothing changes in Device Manager when i connect the board.
also tried every procedure from https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware
But still the board is not detected
Did i permanently damage my board? any suggestions?
