Struggled for a month with Ender3 Upgrade.
-
If you have an Ender3, have you followed Phaedrux's guide on setting it up?
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Ender+3+Pro+and+Duet+Maestro+Guide+Part+1:+Wiring/37
It is a 4 part guide and his knowledge is invaluable.
I used it to tweak my settings as it was developed after I converted my printer.HTH

Also, What slicer are you using?
I have a start and end G-Code I could let you have which works well.P
-
@Danal right after it askes to set z tip to build plate. it has said m205 not recogniized before. i'm home now ill checkit again
-
@PaulHew I will check it out. i had it running fine when i got it then i decided to upgrade it according to what a guy on you tube said, added duet wifi bl touch etc . this is where im at after that.

…m205 not recogniized …
In the preamble of the G-code from the slicer, M205 has an E parameter - according to the docu, this will not be accepted.
…right after it askes to set z tip to build plate.
Does your BLtouch work properly, can you level the print bed, can you home Z with it? In your first post you wrote “BLtouch turns off“ - is this happening right after you’ve just started a print, or does it shut up, too, when you run the „homeall.g“ macro?

@abstraktlighting said in I can't get Duetwifi to print. It's been a month. Help please.:

If it was the Design Prototype Test Video, ignore it.
Use Phaedrux's bible, its written for the Maestro but is brilliant. Also the RRF tool has an Ender3 template, you can select the board you are uising and it will give you a base to work from.

Yeah DPT pretends to know things that he clearly doesn't. He might not be "clock is right twice a day" but he's wrong a lot.

@abstraktlighting I've tried everythimng they said here and I've tried for hours and hours .Now i cant connect to duetwebcontrol and I am ready to rip this board outta here and just go by another machine. Thanks for everyone that tried to help.It seems like duet would have some customer service. Half the time when I'm searching for answers the site is telling me Im mismatched with session and blocks me. This is so Frustrating. Why isnt therre just a simple download site that wipes the board and loads it with the right shit to make it work?
-
@PaulHew nothing worked i am at my wits end ready to smash this.the site you sent me too was almost good. just not quite. when it veered off to the maestro it just lead me in circles. i cant believe the hours ive put into this. Any ideas? I cant get it to connect to duetwebcontrol to try and fix it even. thanks for your help before anyway.:) jeff

Which board do you have (Maestro, Wifi or Ethernet)?
-
@bartolomeus wifi
im trying to get it to atleast have wifi and open duetwebcontrol now -
@abstraktlighting Please post your config.g (if you can access it)
Also, don't use that Cura profile. Looks like you're using the standard cura profile for the ender 3. That start code is made for Ender owners that can't access their boards firmware.
-
@bartolomeus thanks imnot even trying to print any thing now . Im trying to just make it function. I cannot control it.
-
@abstraktlighting no one can help without your config file.
-
@abstraktlighting I loaded the sd card with wifi bin and some hlper code and something else , got wifi on and it gave me the ip.typed the ip in browser and i got a blank page with a blue teardrop so almost connected to web contgrol but not quite
-
@bartolomeus I cannot get my config file without web control because I dont know which one its using?
right? -
@abstraktlighting Have you tried connecting via USB? Start at the beginning, with this page: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/1.)+Getting+Connected+to+your+Duet/7
You'll be able to get the firmware version (which would be good for us to know), and be able to configure and check you're connected to WiFi.
If you haven't put the Duet Web Control files on the SD card, you won't be able to connect to the DWC.
The firmware version also has to match the Wifi firmware version, and the Duet Web Control version. So know what each of these are is important.
