Print surface for a 500x500 printbed

Hi Guys, I'm building a 500x500 printer and I would like a interchangeable print surface. I have always used glass to print on. However I now also have a Creality printer which has a magnetic print surface. I quite like the print surface although I think it's not as wear resilient as glass.

I'd like your experiences and advise. Also I cannot find the magnetic surfaces anywhere for 500x500. Can anyone point met to a affordable source?

@Nemesis1782 Glass and 3D Lac for me every time. Never found anything else which will allow me to print the first layer at 90mm/sec +, and which works with every filament type, and when the bed cools, a light tap is all that's needed to release.

@deckingman I printed a first layer on PEI at 175 mm/s by accident once. Somehow it worked, but only because they were big thick and juicy traces of filament. The tiniest traces at small layer heights won't stick at even 30 mm/s

I can top that- I did PA testing at 300mm/sec straight onto glass/3DLac - 90mm/sec is my default "everyday" speed. (But that's with 0.5mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height - never tried the small values that I know you use).

@deckingman it wasn't a race, I know you win that one. 175 mm/s is the fastest I've ever printed anything on this machine, and that's actually only diagonally because the X/Y are limited to 125 by M203. I just wanted to hint at the fact that PEI might be able to cope with the high speeds too!
